Dagnam Park Drive - Harold Hill
Dagnam Park Drive - what, no cracked pavements?!

Christine Davies:

'We had nothing in Harold Hill. We had no buses up here. No shops. You used to have the van come round with vegetables. The greengrocer, butcher, baker – he only had one arm after losing it during the war. There used to be a shop up closer to Harold Wood and we’d fill a card with what you wanted and he used to come and deliver it. To get to the post office we had to go to Petersfield Avenue shops.'
