I was born in Harold Hill almost 50 years ago at 167 North Hill Drive. I have been living in Canada for the past 25 years. I own a spectacular house, have a beautiful garden; children were educated at private schools etc. I have however never forgotten my first 10 years of life in Harold Hill. I have nothing but good memories: playing in the orchard of the working men’s club and stealing apples with my friends (Geraldine O'Neil and the Duhig children), being able to go to the sweet shop alone and completely safe, being able to walk to see my friend Audrey who lived on the Mount in Noak Hill and a very distant memory of 'Nobby' the rag and bone man with his horse and cart. Yes times have changed but for me it was and always will be a really nice place. Good luck with this site. |
