Hello, I have been reading up on the place I grew up in from 1965 to 1976. My parents, brother and I lived in a prefab until about 1968, then we moved to 36 Oakhampton Square, Harold Jill. My brother and I went to Bosworth School and I remember my mum working in a clothing factory within walking distance. I have such wonderful memories of the place. Yes it was either a building site, or wild woods but what a place to have adventures. We all use to go round in a big gang of children no fear or worries. I often go back in my mind to those days. I can still remember the prefab and how cold it was on a winters morning. I know I was only young but i can still picture it. My mum has some wonderful photos of our prefab. Then the move to 36 all new and clean and warm. My maiden is Storey and mum and dads name was Sylvia and Tom. |
