What an amazing website! I lived in Harold Hill from approximately late 1949 to early 1955. Lived in the East End of London before that at my grandparents. Have lived in Canada for many years now. Raised my children here in the province of Nova Scotia and taught at 2 universities in Halifax. I now mange a charitable organization. My sister and I plan a trip to England in October. She was actually born in the house on Dulverton Road where we lived. This information has really motivated me to make a return visit to Harold Hill (nostalgia, I suppose!) One of my best memories is picking bluebells with my Dad somewhere near our home on the Estate. Also, the wonderful school I attended until we immigrated to Canada. |
